9-1-1 Program

  Bryan second grade students receive training on the 9-1-1 system.
This one day program teaches children when to call 9-1-1, when not to dial 9-1-1 and what happens when they call for help.
  During the session students use a telephone brought into the classroom and dial 9-1-1. A police department employee answers the phone as we do at the police department. Students then tell us if they need a policeman, fireman or EMS. They tell us their name, address and phone number. Photographs courtesy of the Bryan Times.
