Citizen Police Academy

Due to budget restraints no classes in 2008 are being planned

Due to budget restraints no classes were held in 2005, 2006 or 2007.

If you ever wanted to learn what police work really involves and more about the Bryan Police Department we have the program for you. The Bryan Police Department Citizen Police Academy.

This free class is taught by Bryan Police officers and local officials.

We meet one night a week, from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. for nine weeks.

Classes consist of classroom and hands on activities.

Some of the items we cover are:

Police Department Tour	K-9 Unit	Asp Training
CCNO Tour	Firearms	Dispatch Operations
Crime Scene Investigation	Drug Unit Operations	Traffic Enforcement

POLICE ACADEMY REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the academy you must:
Be at least 21 years of age
Have no previous criminal arrest
Live in Williams county, or work in the city of Bryan.
