Tara Arnold, the daughter of Bryan Police
Officer Matthew Arnold passed away on October 29, 2006 at the age of 20.
Tara touched so many people and she left the world a nicer place than she
found it.
After Tara’s death family and friends set up a scholarship in her name
as an ongoing living memorial.
This scholarship provides support to traditional or nontraditional
Williams County Ohio students entering a college or university with the intent
of pursuing a degree in a law enforcement related field.
All money raised will only be used to increase the principle. This
will allow more interest to accrue, thus giving a larger scholarship amount
Additional donations may be sent to, or dropped off at the
Bryan Police Department or

any Williams County Ohio high school.
Requirements:
- Student
must attend or have attended a Williams
County
High School.
- Scholarship
is open to a traditional student (high school graduating senior) or a
non-traditional student (returning after an absence)
- Student
may attend any institution of higher education.
- Students
should be working toward a degree in criminal justice.
- Scholarship
may be used for tuition, room and board, fees, supplies, or any other class
required expenses.
- Student
must have a 3.0 GPA

Amount of the award: The amount of the award will be determined each
year.
Financial:
The scholarship fund is under the control of the Williams County Captain Custar
